As the Groundwater Conservation District (GCD) in Burleson and Milam Counties, we get a lot of questions from Realtors®, Brokers, and Title Companies, as well as Local Landowners. Those questions take many forms, such as, “Do I own the water under my land?,” “Is there water under my land and what is the quality?”, Do I need to Register my well when I buy my property?”, and many more. We have the answers to these and many other questions concerning groundwater and property rights for you. On June 21, 2022, we are hosting an event in Caldwell, TX entiltled Groundwater Rights for Real Estate. The event will feature Dr. Charles Porter, one of the foremost experts in Texas Water Rights, Bobby Bazan, POSGCD Water Specalist and Gary Westbrook, General Manager, Post Oak Savannah GCD.
We intend to make it well worth your time to invest a couple of hours to brush up on your knowledge of Water Rights and enjoy a BBQ meal, all at no cost to you.
